Brenda Colfer, CR
Brenda Colfer is a Certified Reflexologist, Hypnotherapist, Reiki Teacher, Certified Quantum-Touch Instructor, IET Master Instructor, Karuna Teacher, and a Sound Healing Facilitator. Brenda offers Cystal Singing Bowl nights out of her space and has traveled throughout Maine offering sound. She is a member of The Sound Healing Network, an organization that promotes sound healing in the New England area.
She studied Usui Tibetan Reiki in 1998 and started teaching in 2002.
She completed her advanced Quantum-Touch training in Nova Scotia in 2005 and became certified to teach in 2006. She is no longer teaching QT, feeling the new yearly fees for students is not in alignment with what she wants to offer. Her information has been removed from the QT website due to her unwillingness to go along with their new regulations. Brenda is willing to teach these techniques and more at a reduced rate.
Brenda has studied with many gifted teaches, in 2009 completed a two year program for Polarity Principals and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with Lynn Jamison.
This year Brenda has completed a Reflexology Certification course with Connie Hubley, of Relexions, ETc., School of Reflexology in Winthrop.
She has studied sound with Jonathan Goldman, James D'Angelo, and has successfully completed her certification in BioSonic Repatterning with Dr. John Beaulieu, N.D., Ph.D.
One of Brenda's sound presentations was referred to in the recently published book by Meredith Kendall ~ Reiki Nurse.
Brenda has presented her Sound Healing Workshops and Crystal Singing Bowl Healing Meditations throughout the State. Some of these have included Maine General Medical Center, The Midcoast Women's Health Conference in Belfast and Northport, The Nevola Symposium at Colby, Mid Coast Hospital in Bath, USM in Gorham, Whole Health Alliance in Rockport, University of Maine Farmington, Breast Cancer Survivors Group meetings in Waterville and at the Alfond Cancer Center. Leapin Lizards in Freeport, Whole Health Expo in Portland, Unity Church in Westbrook, Sugarloaf, Camp Ray of Hope for Waterville Hospice, Living Water Spiritual Center, St. Paul Center in Augusta, Gardiner Family Chiropractic, etc.
The bowls are available for retreats, ceremony's and wellness days.
Free Reiki Clinic
Brenda also host a Reiki Clinic once a month for the last 5 years. She is joined by other practitioners who come and share their time and healing energy. This is a free clinic to support people through their cancer treatment. This night is also open to cancer survivors, caregivers, and people dealing with another serious illness. This is held the first Friday of every month from October to May. Call for the Clinics daytime summer hours.
Donations from the latter are gratefully accepted to help cover the cost of supplies, printing and the space.
Many cancer clients have found this night to be a blessing that supports them through their healing process. We try to make this a scent free event, so please do not add perfumes, essential oils, etc., before coming.
